This is a straightforward guide to where MediGrab delivers across Pune, how ordering works, and what it costs — so you can check coverage before you need it rather than during an emergency.

How ordering actually works
There is no app to install and no account to create.
- You message us on WhatsApp with what you need — typed out, or a photo of your prescription.
- A licensed partner pharmacy near you checks stock and confirms what is available and what it costs.
- You approve the total before paying anything.
- A rider collects and delivers to your door, with updates in the same WhatsApp chat.
The pharmacy is the seller. We route the order and handle the logistics; the medicine itself is dispensed by an independent pharmacy holding its own drug licence, and their registered pharmacist verifies any prescription.
What it costs
Three components, all visible before you pay:
- The medicines, priced by the partner pharmacy at or below the printed MRP. We do not set medicine prices.
- A delivery fee, charged by our logistics partner and based on the distance between the pharmacy and your address.
- A flat ₹5 handling fee per order.
You see the full amount and approve it. Nothing is added afterwards. Full detail is in our shipping and delivery policy.
What affects how long it takes
We deliberately do not promise a delivery time, because the honest answer is that it depends on things outside our control:
- Whether the medicine is in stock nearby. Common medicines are usually quick. Something unusual may need a pharmacy further away.
- Prescription verification. Schedule H medicines require the pharmacist to review your prescription before anything is dispensed. That is a legal requirement, not a delay we can skip.
- Time of day. Peak traffic on the Hinjawadi corridor or around Swargate at 7 PM is what it is.
- Pharmacy hours. Orders placed when partners are closed are picked up when one next opens.
A service promising a fixed delivery time for medicines is either not verifying prescriptions properly or is going to break the promise.
Things worth knowing before you need it
Check coverage now, not at midnight. Sending one message today to confirm your area is covered takes a minute and removes a variable from a future bad evening.
Save a photo of any repeat prescription. If you take long-term medication, a clear photo saved in your phone means you are never hunting for paper while unwell. Our guide on sending a prescription covers how to photograph one properly.
Know your building's delivery quirks. Gate access, tower numbers, security desk rules — societies around Magarpatta, Kharadi and Hinjawadi in particular. Adding that detail with your address saves the rider a phone call.
Order before the last strip. The most stressful orders are the ones placed after the medicine has already run out. Two days of buffer changes everything.
Who dispenses your order
Every order is dispensed by an independent, CDSCO-licensed partner pharmacy — a real neighbourhood chemist, not a warehouse. You can see the pharmacies we work with on our partner pharmacies page.
MediGrab is a marketplace facilitator. We do not hold a drug licence, do not stock medicines, and are not a pharmacy. That distinction matters, and we would rather state it plainly than blur it.
